>>> Darkness

What is darkness?

In general terms, darkness represents the absence of light , which causes people to be unable to correctly visualize the objects around them, including other people. On the other hand, this term has always been associated with the negative, with the evil. For Christians, the devil and hell are elements of darkness.

For science, darkness is reaching a partially low level of light. Where those objects that lack light, usually reflect fewer visible photons than other objects, so they present an opaque appearance.

For poetry, darkness is seen as a reflecting element, sadness, depression, evil. Psychologically, darkness can generate a strong impact, so much so that it can generate melancholy, nostalgia in people, especially in those subjects who suffer from depressive disorder.

It is important to note that for people with phobias and fears, darkness can be a somewhat problematic issue, since it can increase those feelings.

On the artistic level, darkness can be used to give greater intensity or contrast to light. In painting, darkness is used to form guide lines and voids, among others. These figures are created to attract the gaze towards the painting, since the shadow adds optics.

For some, the darkness can be scary, complicit in many dangerous acts, of crime, since the bandits usually commit their misdeeds during the dark.

However, for others, darkness symbolizes passion, the meeting between lovers who use darkness to let go of their love. Many couples in love prefer dating in the moonlight, considering it the perfect setting for a romantic night .

Who makes it, has no need of it. Who buys it, has no use for it. Who uses it can neither see nor feel it. What is it?

>> A coffin

What jumps when it walks and sits when it stands?

>> A kangaroo

I am in heaven but not in hell. I’m in the devil but not in god. I’m in the river but not in the sea. What am I?

>> The letter “v”.
